Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advance the well-being of the Asian American Pacific Islanders in Colorado. A very diversified workforce, the Center provides culturally appropriate medical and behavioral health services; health promotion; youth leadership; English as Second Language/ citizenship classes; and interpretation/translation.
APDC, one of the four grantees nationwide selected by the Asian American Justice Center (AAJC), is dedicated to increase awareness and education of all Asian American/Pacific Islander communities about census. The Center is an official partner of the Denver Regional Census Center.
Mandated by the Constitution, the Census Bureau performs survey every 10 years. Every one is required to participate. Census data will help determine the allocation of over $400 billion federal funds each year for communities services: highways, hospitals, school programs, training, etc.
In March, the Census Bureau will mail forms to all residents. The 2010 census form asks 10 questions and can be completed in 10 minutes. Questions include: if the housing unit is rented or owned, telephone number, number of household members, name, sex, age, race, etc.. Forms should be mailed back by April 1, 2010.
By law, your information will be kept confidential and cannot be shared with other government agencies.
APDC serves as the Questionnaire Assistance Center to help you fill out your forms.
Now is the time to be counted and recognized. Census is Easy, Safe, and Important.
